Summer is Almost Over

Here it is- August 2012- and I am finally putting pen to paper, as it were, and putting some thoughts and ideas out there . Spring has passed, we have made it through most of another hot Summer, and wonder of wonders, we ( at least here in Greenville,SC) have been getting rain. The Nursery has survived another year- we have some new plants-like the new pink Annabelle "Invincible Spirit" and plenty of our stalwart standards- the Oakleaf , Incrediball, and Glowing Embers hydrangeas. Fall is a great time to plant trees and shrubs, as their root systems continue to grow over the winter months, enabling them to have a good start next Spring. It is also about time for your fall garden- be on the look-out for bedding plants- broccoli, collards, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts- that will soon go into the ground for those great Fall harvests. Remember, try to buy local grown stuff. If you are in need of flowering ornamental shrubs or trees , contact us. We also , of course, are always ready to help you with that hardscaping project, wether it is a wall, firepit, sidewalk, or outdoor living area.
